What is the aluminum coil?
Distinguished from the processing technology, aluminum coils can be divided into cast-rolled aluminum coils and hot-rolled aluminum coils.
Cast-rolled aluminum coils refer to preliminary processing coils processed by casting and rolling machines with thicknesses between 3.5-12mm. Cast-rolled aluminum coils can also be considered as blanks and are used as raw materials for the production of various cold-rolled aluminum plates and cold-rolled aluminum coils.
Cold-rolled aluminum coils and hot-rolled aluminum coils are generally produced from cast-rolled aluminum coils or aluminum plate ingots through heating, rolling, annealing and other steps.
Cold-rolled aluminum coils are continuously cold-rolled by a rolling mill on pre-treated cast-rolled aluminum coils at a certain temperature (usually lower than the crystallization temperature) to achieve the specified thickness. According to the customer's demand for aluminum coils, further processing is carried out. deal with.
Hot-rolled aluminum coils are continuously rolled by a rolling mill on pre-treated aluminum ingots at a certain temperature (usually above the crystallization temperature) until they finally reach the expected thickness. Further processing, such as annealing, etc. is performed according to customer needs.
There are some differences between these two types of aluminum coils, as follows:
- Raw materials: The raw materials of cold-rolled aluminum coils are generally cast-rolled aluminum coils, while the raw materials of hot-rolled aluminum coils are usually aluminum plate ingots.
- Heating temperature: Hot rolling is performed at high temperature, while cold rolling requires lower temperatures.
- Mechanical processing intensity: Hot rolling requires greater mechanical processing intensity, while cold rolling requires smaller mechanical processing intensity.
- Finished product properties: The surface finish of hot-rolled aluminum coils is relatively poor, but the strength, toughness and other properties are better; while the surface quality of cold-rolled aluminum coils is better, but the hardness, brittleness and other properties will also increase accordingly.
The aluminum coil is slit by the slitting equipment to make aluminum strips, and is cut by the flying shear equipment to make aluminum sheets.

Color coated aluminum coil
Color-coated aluminum coils are aluminum coils that have been passivated and painted with paint on the surface of the aluminum base material roll. Common paint coatings include: fluorocarbon coating (PVDF) and polyester coating (PE).
Base material: Usually 1000 series, 3000 series, 5000 series and 6000 series aluminum coils are used as the base material, such as 1060, 3003, 3105, 5052, 6061, 6082;
